for mums, by mums.
mumcella edition!
Running a business while raising kids is already a wild ride.
Now add chronic illness, solo parenting, trauma, starting from scratch—or all of the above.
These mums had every reason to NOT start businesses but instead of becoming victims of their situation, they still followed their dreams and created the businesses that they wanted to.
So now we’re celebrating them, cheering them on, and throwing one hell of a party while we’re at it.

Know a mum who’s building a business while life throws the absolute most at her?
One who shows up, keeps going, and somehow still finds a way?
Nominate her.
Let’s make sure she gets seen, celebrated—and properly cheered for.
We’ve got a whole lineup of awards waiting for women just like her.
Let’s check them out!
NOMINATIONS ARE NOW OPEN!
CLOSING 14 AUGUST

I Now Call Australia Home
Single Mum in Business
Neurodiverse Mum
This one’s for the first-generation immigrant mums raising their kids in a new landYou’ve built a business and a life here—and that’s something worth honouring.
This one’s for the mums doing it solo—raising a family and running a business without a partner to tag in. It’s hard, it’s relentless, and it deserves to be seen and celebrated.
For the mums with a neuro difference who started a business and didn’t let their brain be the barrier. This award celebrates the brilliant bold minds doing business differently—and proudly.

I Deserve It
Rural Mum in Business
DNA Doesn't Matter
We all grew up being told, “Don’t show off” or “don’t be boastful” and to that we say a massive GET LOST. If you are doing incredible things (say raising a family and a business) then you SHOULD yell it from the rooftops. And we want to hear it. This award is for the mum that is PROUD of herself and wants to show her kids that it’s ok to celebrate yourself.
Running a business in the bush comes with a different kind of hustle. This award is for the rural mums who make it work—despite the floods, droughts, distance, or dodgy internet.
Being a mum isn’t about biology—it’s about showing up with love. This award celebrates the stepmums, foster mums, and carers who pour their hearts into children they didn’t birth, but love fiercely.

Paving the Way
Second Wind
Domestic Violence Survivor
This one’s for the mum who showed us what was possible and gave us a hand when we needed it. She leads with heart, breaks the mould, and makes space for the rest of us.
This is for the mums who started again—after heartbreak, children leaving the nest, big life changes, or when everyone said it was too late. You’ve reinvented yourself, and this award celebrates the power in that.
This award honours the mums who’ve walked through fire and came out stronger. You rebuilt, you rose—and your strength is nothing short of extraordinary.

The Invisible Load
First Nations Mum in Business
Partners in Crime
This award honours the mums carrying weight most people never see—living with chronic illness, supporting a high-needs child, or caring for someone who depends on them. Through it all, they’re still chasing dreams, building businesses, and showing up anyway.
This award celebrates the First Nations women leading with culture, community, and incredible resilience. Your voice, your work, and your wisdom shape more than business—they shape legacy.

This one’s for the dynamic duos—two mums who’ve built a business together and are still laughing (mostly) through it all. For the partners who divide the load, double the fun, and remind us that you don’t have to do it alone.
